Eurotrip – Part II

second week.. Munich & Bochum.. and almost half way the post is when I smashed my camera and shifted to manual focus shoot.

they were promoting for overnight train trips.. Munich Central Station

the lights were so funky for a metro station..

in "Lederhosen"..

again, playing with manual focus and distance guessing..

went to this restaurant before, again don't bother remembering names of German places.. they're just a bit difficult to pronounce, let a lone to remember.. anyhow, those hanging utensils were just awesome..

snow leftovers..

abandoned?

some didn't bother to leave home.. or maybe just to drive..

liked something about this scene.. the zig zag the sun, the snow.. the combination of all..

and then to Dali's place.. I adore his map wallpaper, i want one ;)

priceless!

and yes, it was bloody -7

a clear sky day.. for a change

the snow did not leave yet though..

i think this is the most useless thing ever made..

just so I remember the name of this fantastic place..

an overpriced slice of pizza..

she sort of stood out in front me being the only one in colorful clothes compared to the background..

i vaguely remember when and where i took this shot..

the shadow.. so damn creepy

i was sitting just like him, with the camera on my knee.. kneeshot

the last shot before arriving to the airport.. once i got off the train, the camera strap got stuck in my knee (i know!) which pulled the camera from my hand hitting the ground lens first..

testing the camera to see if it was working still.. focusing was slow..

this is snow.. this is real snow, snow isn't always white and clean..

Hello Dubai..

waiting for the boarding call..

too much neon light..

testing the focusing.. i wasn't sure what was damaged, the camera body or the lens.. i was hoping for the last, and i didn't have another lens to confirm.. I shifted to manual focus from here.. sucks on an SLR and impossible with the lens wide open..

it happens..

another blue sky day..

Eurotrip – Part I

three weeks.. four cities (Bochum, Munich, Salzburg and Amsterdam).. one camera and a 50mm lens..

Dubai Airport, i guess iPads are not widespread yet.

Bochum. Deni has just moved into a new place in a beautiful neighborhood..

and too much work for the first few day..

Dali was around to help too..

Viola's homemade plum knedla traveled all the way from Munich so I try them.. they were delightful

on the way to IKEA

i first read "residents killer"..

a walk checking out the neighborhood..

Deni spotted a nearby park on google maps, so we went to check it out..

weird way to place seats in a park..

we decided to go for few days to Munich after we settled down..

funny intrusion on the Audi's in Munich airport..

next are some anonymous captures in Munich's subways..

we met Dali in the city later on that evening..

Weather Surprise !

It was snowing all night long apparently, how convenient for a day on the Austrian borders..

red lights..

green lights..

Dali was prepared for the weather..

my healthy breakfast..

not used on metro stations being too empty and quiet in Munich..

on the way to Munich Central Station.. playing with manual focus and distance guessing.. hipshot.

Europe's most annoying and confusing kiosks ever..

we were supposed to arrive at 10am

unattended luggage..

our cabin neighbor, she was asleep throughout the trip..

eventually the train moved.. after getting stuck in this station for nearly an hour thanks to heavy snow..

it sure is more comfortable to enjoy the scenery through a window..

and finally we made it to the Sound of Music city..

and decided to plan whatever left of our time in the first warm place.. the big M

and then to find out how to go to Mozart's place.

and too many people..

i felt sorry for her..

in Austria they're orange, in Germany they're gray..

snow always exposes the beauty of trees..

even trash looks good enough to photograph when it snows..

with my goofy touk on..

glüwein is like magic in such weather..

it was a short trip, we got a refund because of the delay..

Mahmovies.. Live Art

another Mahmovies post, I think I should have a section for this event if I keep taking photos every Monday at the Jamjar.. I got in early to shoot the rehearsals and setup.. not to stick with one view angle from a beanbag spot.. and it was worth it:
